Overview - Can-Bus Controlled Monitoring
Can-Bus systems were originally developed for the automotive market. Now standard on many premium brand cars the technology allows multiple signals from sensors to be transmitted down just two wires.
This technology allows far more monitoring and sensing with much less wiring. Typically around 200 messages per second are delivered to monitor and control various systems. Anything from engine oil temperature and level to control of proportional hydraulic valves and engine revs can be achieved, delivering precise control that also maximises productivity and fuel economny. Far more useful information is available to the operator and fault diagnosis is far quicker. The fact that the amount of wiring is reduced by up to 75% provides a much simpler and more reliable electrical installation.
