Kalmar’s RTG is the technological frontrunner in the market. The new E-One model with an all electric drive mechanisms completely replaces the conventional hydraulic system you would normally find on this type of equipment.

     

This is a major step forward in RTG technology giving up to 30% improved fuel consumption and utilising far less components than a hydraulically driven machine making it more reliable and easier to maintain. What’s more no hydraulics means no more burst hoses and leaks which reduce costly downtime and repair, whats more the E-One wont leak hydraulic fluid so it is environmentally safe and helps to keep your terminal clean.

Smartrail® is now a highly regarded feature of the Kalmar RTG and is used to great effect within many of the world’s largest RTG terminals.

Similarly, the electrical anti-sway system continues to play a significant part in improving the performance of the Kalmar RTG design.
